2. Daily / Shift Checklist

  1. Panel clean and free from dust/moisture
  2. Indicating lamps and meters working
  3. No abnormal sound or burning smell
  4. Breaker ON/OFF/Trip position correct
  5. Control switches functioning properly
  6. No loose hanging wires
  7. Room temperature/ventilation normal

3. Weekly Checklist

  1. Door locks, hinges, and gaskets in good condition
  2. Busbar chamber properly closed
  3. Space heaters functioning
  4. Earthing connection intact and tight
  5. Cable terminations free from heating
  6. Labels & nameplates visible and correct


4. Monthly Checklist

  1. Visual check for loose connections
  2. Tightness of busbar & cable terminations verified
  3. Relay indication and reset check
  4. Clean ventilation grills & filters
  5. MCB/MCCB/ACB operation checked
  6. IR (Insulation Resistance) of control circuits


5. Quarterly / Half-Yearly Checklist

  1. Functional test of alarms & trip circuits
  2. Contact resistance of breakers measured
  3. Thermographic scanning of busbars & terminations
  4. Earth continuity test carried out
  5. Functional check of interlocks (mechanical/electrical)
  6. Relay testing (Overcurrent, Earth fault, etc.)

6. Yearly Checklist

  1. Insulation Resistance test of main busbars & outgoing feeders
  2. Functional testing of protective relays
  3. Calibration of meters & instruments
  4. HiPot test (if applicable)
  5. Full maintenance of ACB/MCCB (greasing, cleaning, contact check)
  6. Verification of mimic diagram & schematic drawings

7. Safety Checks

  1. Proper PPE used during inspection
  2. Danger signs in place and visible
  3. Fire extinguisher nearby & in good condition
  4. LOTO (Lock-Out/Tag-Out) applied before maintenance
  5. No water leakage/moisture near panel
