2. Daily / Shift Checklist
- Oil level normal (sight glass)
- Oil & winding temperature normal
- Buchholz relay alarm/trip free
- No leakage of oil observed
- Silica gel (breather) condition normal (blue/pink)
- Cooling fans/pumps working
- Pressure relief device normal
- No abnormal sound/vibration
- HV & LV bushings clean and intact
- Panel indicators/alarms working
3. Weekly Checklist
- Check earthing connections tight
- Inspect conservator tank oil level
- Breather silica gel condition checked
- Cooling system auto/manual operation test
- Thermometer calibration verified
- Ensure no dust or moisture inside panel
4. Monthly Checklist
- Check oil leakage at joints/gaskets
- Inspect physical condition of bushings (cracks, flash marks)
- Clean bushings and terminals
- Test fans and oil pumps
- Check relay indication and reset
- IR (Insulation Resistance) test of control circuits
5. Quarterly / Half-Yearly Checklist
- Dissolved Gas Analysis (DGA) of oil
- Transformer oil BDV (Breakdown Voltage) test
- Insulation resistance test of windings
- Functional test of Buchholz, PRV, WTI, OTI relays
- Tap changer inspection (oil level, mechanism, contacts)
- Measure earth resistance of transformer body & neutral
6. Yearly Checklist
- Complete oil filtration/treatment (if required)
- Calibration of protection relays (REF, differential, overcurrent, Buchholz, etc.)
- Transformer ratio test (TTR)
- Winding resistance test
- Contact resistance measurement (if OLTC present)
- Capacitance & Tan-Delta test of bushings
- Thermography of connections, bushings & terminations
- HiPot test (as per OEM guidelines)
7. Safety Checks
- Danger signage installed and visible
- Fire extinguisher available near transformer
- Oil soak pit/fire protection system in place
- LOTO (Lock-Out/Tag-Out) used before maintenance
- PPE worn during inspection/maintenance
