Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) Inspection for LV Cables
- I had the opportunity to oversee a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) inspection for low-voltage (LV) cables. Ensuring compliance with strict industry standards and delivering reliable electrical infrastructure is crucial.
- During the FAT, we carried out several important tests, including:
- Visual Inspection: Checking for physical damage, proper labeling, and overall condition of the cables.
- Insulation Resistance Test: Using a megohmmeter to ensure the insulation is strong and effective.
- High Voltage Test (Dielectric Withstand): Applying high voltage to ensure the cables can handle the required voltage without failing.
- Conductor Resistance Test: Measuring the resistance of the cable conductors to ensure they meet standards.
- Sheath Integrity Test: Checking the outer sheath for any defects using methods like spark testing.
- Dimensional Check: Using tools to verify the size and shape of the cables, ensuring they meet specifications.
- Working with our skilled team to conduct these tests reinforces our commitment to quality and excellence. Proud to help deliver reliable and resilient electrical solutions.
